Brave recently released an upgraded browser with the “Snowflake” feature. This option allows you to activate it and allow other users access Tor from repressive areas.
Brave Browser integrates Tor’s Snowflake
Brave, one of few browsers that allow users to surf the web while protecting their privacy is one of the best. Brave blocks web trackers and intrusive ads, while also allowing users to connect to the Tor network.
Although the browser is great for Tor use, the browser could not be used in areas that have strict internet surveillance and block Tor usage.
Officials at Tor developed the browser extension to combat this problem. To allow users of repressive areas to proxy Tor access, this extension accepts voluntary contributions.
To volunteer, interested users will need to download the to their Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome browsers. Users in oppressive regions need to enable “Snowflake” via Tor, Onion or Orbot browsers.
The , but it is now more convenient for privacy-conscious users. Brave browser (Chromium 9.0.5414.87) has been released. It comes with Snowflake settings integrated, which saves volunteers the effort of creating an extension.
According to the Brave users now have the ability to enable Snowflake via a . They can also enable the setting when they are able to assist other users by bypassing tor blocks.

Snowflake can be used safely, but users who wish to volunteer for Snowflake must have enough data available to enable other users to access their network. Volunteers must also not reside in any region blocking Tor.
